About the Constituency
Govindarajnagar is a sub-locality of Vijayanagar named after M. Govindraj, a prominent social activist who passed away in 1970. What began as a quiet residential layout has transformed into one of West Bengaluru's most vibrant, self-sustained hubs.
The constituency covers Prashanth Nagar, Agrahara Dasarahalli, Govindaraja Nagar, Kaveripura, Marenahalli, Maruthi Mandir, Mudalapalya, Nagarabhavi, Chandra Layout, Nayandahalli and areas along Dr. Rajkumar Road. A perfect blend of tradition, commerce and community living.

Priya Krishna is a three-time MLA from Govindrajanagara, first elected in 2008 at the age of 25, making him one of Karnataka's youngest legislators. Son of former minister M. Krishnappa, he has deep roots in Bengaluru's development politics.
